As a prospective student with disability you have to consider some additional questions to choose the right course: questions concerning the constructional conditions of the institutions and the mobility options as well as the question if the supports you need are available (at the university and for day-to-day living).
UK universities welcome students with disabilities: every university and college employ a specialist disabilities adviser, a Learning Support Coordinator or something similar. They have to ensure that disabled students are not 'substantially disadvantaged', which is required by the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1995.
